Investigators are trying to establish whether paedophile William John Creasey, 73, complied with treatment conditions set out in his sentencing.
Cape Town – Child protection police are investigating the convicted paedophile pensioner who was nabbed taking photos of schoolboy cricketers at Rondebosch Boys’ High last weekend.
The police believed Creasey was photographing and sexually assaulting boys for more than two decades before he was charged. The circular cautioned parents that Creasey, who was not named, approached “at least two” Rondebosch Boys High families with the offer of providing extra art lessons to their boys.
Vigilant parents reported Creasey when they spotted him photographing boys last Saturday and the police removed him from Rondebosch High grounds. But he was not arrested. The 2011 Argus investigation revealed Creasey was advertising art classes for children on Gumtree under the pseudonym Paul Hamilton.Lieutenant-Colonel Jan Swart, who investigated Creasey in 2002, said there was no problem with parole.
