Police in a Union County township are still looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck and injured a pedestrian last week.
The 34-year-old Irvington man was hit by a pickup near the intersection of Stuyvesant Avenue and Pleasant Parkway in Union just before 8:45 p.m. on Aug. 29, township police said. Police said Thursday afternoon that the pedestrian remains hospitalized, but his condition has improved and he may be released in the coming days.
The Ford F150 extended cab pickup, which fled fled on Stuyvesant Avenue toward Oakland Avenue, had no bed cover, a chrome front bumper and two New Jersey license plates, officials said.
