IPOH: Police here have arrested four men for being involved in a commotion during the Super League football match at the Perak Stadium on Saturday (May 20) night.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Hassan the men arrested are aged between 18 and 26, supporters of both the Perak FC and Selangor FC.“We can confirm that the incident occurred at 9.17pm, and that police on duty at the site managed to bring the situation under control. The case is being investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for riots,” he said in a statement on Sunday .He said the four would be brought to the Magistrate’s Court on Sunday for a remand application.
“The police are urging those at the site, or those with any information on the video to come forward to assist in investigations. Anyone with information can contact the senior investigating officer ASP Chua Sze Yuan at 012-6195312,” he added.
