Cooper Kupp trade: LA Rams reportedly looking to deal former Super Bowl MVP

Kupp, the star receiver of the Los Angeles Rams, could potentially be on the move before the November 5 trade deadline.

The Seattle Seahawks play the 2-4 Los Angeles Rams in two weeks, and it’s possible that it’ll either be Cooper Kupp’s last game with the Rams or he’ll already be on another team. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports that Kupp, who’s slated to return to the field for the Rams’ Thursday game against the Minnesota Vikings, is being actively shopped by the Rams. Russini noted that Los Angeles has “indicated a willingness to take on some of the ‘24 salary and are seeking a 2nd round pick.

After a record-setting 2021 season in which Kupp caught 145 passes for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns on his way to a Super Bowl MVP award, injuries have substantially limited his availability. He only played nine games in 2022 and underwent surgery for his ankle sprain. Kupp started 2023 on injured reserve with a hamstring injury and was effectively the number two option behind Puka Nacua.
