The heat and humidity are relaxing today, but can we keep the pleasant feel around? T.J. Springer lets us know when temps climb once again.
The cold front that brought storms and downpours last night has pushed through the area. It's already feeling drastically different compared to this time on Wednesday. Behind this boundary, we're getting a little bit of relief from the sultry conditions. Temps dip back into the upper 80s this afternoon along with dew points falling into the lower and mid-60s. Overall, it'll be a gorgeous, Summer day as high pressure builds in.
It's not looking like a washout but it's a day where we won't have as much sun and where you'll want to keep the umbrella handy. A few showers or rumbles linger into early Saturday before clearing the Valley. Temperatures then rebound through the remainder of the weekend as this ridge of high pressure builds to the east. Afternoon readings jump back into mid-90s by Sunday, and that continues into next week.
