In 2015, Vallejo Police accused Huskins' then-boyfriend Aaron Quinn of murdering her. When she reappeared, police accused the couple of staging an elaborate hoax. "In my view, there's no doubt in terms of his mental status and ability to speak with us," said El Dorado County District Attorney Vern Pierson.
