Just moments after news broke of a controversial decision by the South Western School District to create an opening to see into theThe update was posted by a local group called the Citizens for South Western's Future Thursday afternoon which showed photos of the boarded up window of one of the two gender-neutral restrooms at the middle school.
Many parents had expressed concern over the decision for multiple reasons including the privacy of their children as well as how some felt it was discrimination towards LGBTQ+ students. CBS 21 reached out to the school board for comment after initially learning about the decision and have since reached out again to ask why the windows have been boarded up but have not heard back.
