Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon is joining the Green Bay Packers as their DC.

Former Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon is being hired as the Green Bay Packers’ DC, according to a Sunday report from Gannon is replacing former Packers DC Jeff Hafley, who secured the head-coaching job with the Miami Dolphins.
Gannon spent three seasons in charge of the Cardinals. He accumulated a 15-36 record, going 4-13 in 2023, 8-9 in 2024 and 3-14 this past season. Gannon got the job in Arizona after coordinating the Eagles’ defense in 2021 and 2022. The former Indianapolis Colts assistant followed Nick Sirianni to Philadelphia but didn’t stay too long. Gannon left for the Cardinals job two days after the Eagles lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, 38-35, in Super Bowl LVII. In April 2023, it was reported that Gannon interviewed with the Cardinals the week after the Eagles won the NFC Championship game, which is a period of impermissible conduct., the Eagles’ front office was furious with Gannon, believing he was distracted by the opportunity in Arizona prior to the Super Bowl.Johnny covers the Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State football for PennLive.
