Star Wars' Jedi Consulars Explained Jedi Consulars are the least combat-oriented type of Jedi, spending far more time studying and applying the esoteric and benevolent elements of the Force than fighting the galaxy’s various malevolent factions. In the Star Wars saga, among the most famous examples of Jedi Consulars are Jedi Grandmaster Yoda, Jedi Master Luminara Unduli, and the Jedi Knight Barriss Offee.
Star Wars' Jedi Sentinels Explained While the Jedi Consulars focus on their use of the Force and Jedi Guardians are masters of lightsaber combat, the Jedi Sentinels adopt a jack-of-all-trades mentality, balancing their mastery of both the Force and their lightsabers. The outdated traditional lightsaber color of Jedi Sentinels is yellow, with Jedi Master Bastila Shan being perhaps the most famous example of this Jedi discipline.
Star Wars' Jedi Guardians Explained As their name implies, Jedi Guardians specialize in the martial aspects of Jedi Knighthood, often focusing on lightsaber combat in particular. While Jedi see no glory in warfare, they are determined to defend the vulnerable and uphold democracy, putting them at odds with criminals, tyrants, and their ancient enemies, the Sith Lords.
