A construction worker fell to his death from the landmark Waldorf-Astoria New York hotel Thursday morning, authorities and sources said. The 45-year-old was found on the ground around 9:40 a.m. outside the luxury hotel on Park Avenue near East 49th Street that has been under construction for years, according to cops and sources. The iconic hotel, once home to the legendary Peacock Alley and a stomping ground for Cole Porter, Frank Sinatra, and Marilyn Monroe, closed in February 2017.
But a spokeswoman has confirmed that there will be no more postponements – the iconic hotel is set to reopen in the spring of this year
