MANILA - A ciborium with consecrated hosts was found intact after the fire that hit the Sto. Niño Church in Pandacan, Manila, its parish priest Sunday.

In a report on CBCP News, Fr. Sanny de Claro of the Sto. Niño Church said the ciborium was among the only items recovered from the fire. He added the ciborium was found Friday after the fire while some church workers were searching for the 400-year-old image of the Sto. Niño.“This is the biggest miracle. While looking for the image, the sacred host was found. We were pointed to Jesus,” he added.

The ciboriuum and the consecrated hosts are now in the San Fernando de Dilao Parish Church in Paco for safekeeping.Aside from the ciborium, they were able to recover one of the “tres potencias”, and the burned andador, scepter and the vestment that the image was wearing when the fire broke out. Some liturgical objects were also left unscathed and can still be used. De Claro said the relics will be shown to the public in the coming days.
