The 6-year-old girl is OK, but her mother said the day care tried to brush off the incident.
CONROE, Texas -- A Conroe day care is under investigation after reports that a child was left inside a vehicle for at least five hours.
"It was the worst phone call I've ever received in my life," said the mother who asked not to be identified."When you hear, 'We forgot your kid in a van. We forgot your kid on a bus,' my mind went to the worst." "She was confused when she woke up all by herself on the van. She said she woke up, she knocked on the window and there was no one around and she recognized her preschool," said the mother."She started to get really, really hot and then she started panicking and then started crying."
She said her daughter was dropped off at school around 12:45 p.m. and the day care finally called her around 1:45 p.m. ABC13 tried to speak with the day care business, but they declined to comment and even threatened to call police on the reporter who was invited inside the building.
