Michigan football’s “viral villain” will steal the Netflix spotlight on Aug. 30.
Connor Stalions – the former Michigan off-field analyst hired in 2022 – is slated to appear in Netflix ’s documentary series “UNTOLD after what many considerIn his featured episode, “Sign Stealer,” Stallions will for the first time reveal “his side of Michigan’s alleged sign-stealing scheme that turned him into a viral villain,” as reported by Netflix .
Despite the substantial distraction for the 2023 season, the Wolverines posted a perfect 15-0 record and won the national championship. Jim Harbaugh, who was serving as Michigan’s head coach at the time, was suspended three games by the Big Ten last year for the scandal.Two of the team’s matchups during that suspension were against star-studded and highly-ranked Penn State and Ohio State.
The team still prevailed in those games, with former offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore serving as an interim head coach.Even though Harbaugh has moved on from Michigan football, the NCAA investigation into the sign-stealing saga remains ongoing.The other two episodes will feature U.S. women’s national team soccer player Hope Solo on Sept. 3 and dive into the 2009 death of Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair, airing on August 20.
