Moreso than any other major North American sport, men's college basketball is a coach's medium. Even in the years this century where the sport's star power has dipped, its coaches have allowed it to remain relevant—chief among them former Duke boss Mike Krzyzewski .
However, Krzyzewski's generation is slowly handing over power to a new crop of coaches. With back-to-back national titles under his belt, Connecticut coach Dan Hurley—a basketball lifer whose bookish appearance belies his near-hysterical on-court expressionism—appears poised to lead them., Krzyzewski offered Hurley advice for his new role as the game's public face.
