Sessions, who has been a member of Congress for 24 years, is currently the representative of Texas 17th Congressional District which includes parts of Central and East Texas. Sessions served as the Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee from 2009 to 2012. During this time he helped lead the party to get back House majority in 2010.
