The bill appears likely to pass with bipartisan support, including from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Republican Senator Mitt Romney and Democratic Senators Brian Schatz and Tim Kaine.

The provision has gained momentum in Congress as lawmakers look to respond to the dramatic rise in youth vaping and the spate of vaping-related illnesses that spread across the country this year.including AltriaBut some say it doesn’t go far enough to combat the increase in youth vaping. Anti-smoking and vaping groups want Congress to ban flavored e-cigarettes, halt most online sales of tobacco products and require more transparency around tobacco advertising.
