South Africa has recorded 10 685 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, bringing the total to 2 624 254, according to the National Institute for Communicable Diseases. | CebohNyambose

Jimoh added the majority of new cases were from the Western Cape , followed by KwaZulu-Natal .

The Eastern Cape accounted for 17%, Gauteng 11%, North West 5% and Limpopo 2%, while the Free State, Mpumalanga and Northern Cape accounted for 6% each.Hospital admissions increased to 526 in the past 24 hours.
