: The vote of confidence and the election of the new Dewan Rakyat Speaker will be the highlights of the first day of Parliament sitting under the Unity Government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
It aims to prove that he has the support of the majority of MPs to lead the new government after the 15th general election results led to a hung Parliament as no party or coalition was able to garner a simple majority.
