A company has announced the resumption of tin concentrate exports from its TiTan plant in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), signaling a return to production and positive outlook for 2025.

The company is pleased to announce the resumption of tin concentrate exports from its TiTan plant in the Democratic Republic of Congo ( DRC ). The second export of 25 metric tons departed from Lubumbashi on December 31st. A third export is in the planning stages and 7 metric tons of tantalum concentrate are in storage in Lubumbashi. Regular exports are anticipated to occur monthly in 2025, with the company planning to begin tantalum concentrate exports during Q1 2025.Mr.

Eric Allard, CEO, commented: 2024 has been a challenging year for the company as they worked to bring the TiTan plant into production, facing a downturn in the lithium market. The successful replacement of critical parts in 2024 sets the stage for a better 2025 with steady production and revenue. The tin and tantalum markets have remained stable amidst macroeconomic instability over the past year and are projected to continue this trend in the medium to long term. Tin prices have held steady between $28,000 and $34,000 USD since March 2024 on the LME market, with strong support when the market tested the $28,000 mark. With current supply constraints, the company anticipates benefiting from positive price movements for both tin and tantalum in 2025. The favorable pricing environment in the tin market has prompted the company to plan further resource definition work to evaluate the potential for increasing production capacity in the medium term. The company continues to evaluate developments in the lithium market to proceed with the feasibility study on the Manono Lithium Tailings Project and the promising hard rock lithium discovery potential of the Pegmatite Corridor project. The company's current focus is on operating its TiTan tin and tantalum concentrate plant and developing its lithium assets in the prolific Manono area of the DRC.
