Two parents were arrested for injury to a child by omission after ACSO Investigators said the parents failed to provide their daughter with the medical attention she needed.
Miranda Sipps was pronounced dead on Monday, and her mother and stepfather are charged in connection with her death, according to the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Soward said the parents did not call authorities about her condition until Monday, four days after she sustained her injuries. Sipps was taken to a nearby hospital, where Soward said she died after roughly an hour of medical attention.
