Requiem Mass for Mairead Doherty will take place on Wednesday morning
Mairead Doherty, a mother-of-one in her early 30s who lived in the Bogside area of the city, died following a crash on the Culmore Road in the early hours of Sunday. She is described in a family notice as the "much loved mother of Cillian, beloved daughter of Ann Doherty and Conor and Pamela Cassidy, loving sister of Ryan, Conor and Edwin, loving aunt of Lennon, dear partner of Ciaran Lynch." Her partner's workplace, Maiden City Butchers, has organised a fundraising campaign to help pay for funeral costs.
