Comms Ministry mulls proposal to filter websites offering false service through sebenarnya.my

PETALING JAYA: From cleaning their water storage tanks to rescheduling medical appointments, business owners and households are preparing for a scheduled water cut in Klang Valley tomorrow.

KUALA LUMPUR: The government will consider a proposal to filter websites that offer fake businesses or services through the sebenarnya.my portal with a verification stamp to prevent widespread fraud by irresponsible parties.

"The problem is when it is closed because it only involves coding or changing hosting and so on, they can copy and paste these websites," he said during a question and answer session at the Dewan Rakyat on Monday . Meanwhile, Fahmi said that so far the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission has only received one complaint relating to renovation scams.
