KULAI: The Communications and Digital Ministry will be working together with the police to investigate the circulation of a video involving a couple who allegedly engaged in an indecent act in a car park in Taman Kota Masai, Pasir Gudang.
Deputy Communications and Digital Minister Teo Nie Ching said the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission had considered the video as pornographic, which is a violation under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
“So any individual who uploads such content on social media can be investigated and charged under this section,” she said. The Kulai MP said that MCMC is also urging members of the public to stop spreading the video, as it is an offence.
