Committees of unity govt secretariat to present reports on state polls
Pakatan Harapan secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail says the top leadership of the unity government is scheduled to meet on March 19 for the first stage of discussions in facing the coming state elections. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, February 25, 2023.
He said the three committees on strategy, elections, and monitoring of government agenda and politics should get their reports ready before that date. “We, at the committee level, need to complete our reports before then. So matters related to seat negotiations at the PH level are ongoing involving these six states,” he told reporters after attending the Kedah PH convention today.
“When we sit down with BN only then will we review the matter but what’s important is the willingness of these two coalitions to come together for talks,” he said.
