BREAKING Commissioner: Philadelphia police officer who shot, killed 12-year-old to be dismissed
PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia police officer who shot and killed a 12-year-old last week, after several officers were shot at during an investigation, will be fired.
The officers, who were in an unmarked vehicle, activated the red and blue emergency lights, police say. Two officers returned fire. One of the officers then took cover while the other pursued Thomas Siderio Jr. on foot, police say.Philadelphia police say a 12-year-old was shot and killed by officers after police came under fire in South Philadelphia on Tuesday night.Police say Siderio was in possession of a stolen handgun. Outlaw said during a news conference Tuesday that all evidence collected so far indicates it was Siderio who fired at the police vehicle.
Attorney Conor Corcoran tells Action News the family contends Siderio was not in possession of a gun when he was shot.
