Comerica CEO Curtis Farmer told The News that its new innovation hub in Frisco will serve as a satellite of its Dallas headquarters.

Downtown Dallas-based Comerica, the largest bank headquartered in Texas, made waves WednesdayThe Dallas Morning News

Farmer said most of the bank’s leadership will continue working out of downtown Dallas, including him and other top executives, commercial bankers, wealth management advisers and other business units. Comerica largely serves business customers, with about 70% of its business coming from commercial banking.The new business and innovation hub in Frisco will be a satellite office with mostly technology and operational jobs, he said.

Like other major cities, downtown Dallas has challenges such as traffic flow problems, a large homeless population and restaurants that still haven’t reopened following the COVID-19 pandemic, he said.
