Soon we’ll see if the Chargers — and other AFC contenders — received a long-distance gift when a Jets pass rusher banged Josh Allen’s right elbow late in New York’s upset victory over the Bills.

The Chargers, meantime, saw Herbert miss only one snap while recovering from the torn ribcage cartilage he suffered in Week 2. Herbert’s teammates no doubt appreciate their QB’s competitiveness. With Herbert able to make passes Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota could not, Team Spanos won as a three-point favorite, 20-17.Football luck is a real thing. That’s the beauty of an oblong ball. When Austin Ekeler fumbled, the ball took a Falcons-friendly hop and Graham scooped it. Unfortunately for Atlanta, which stood to take over near midfield late in a tie game, Graham repaid the favor by dropping the ball.
