Catcher who has been with four organizations in his last 13 games is a survivor who's found comfy fit in San Diego
On April 1, the Giants signed free agent Gary Sanchez. Thirty-one days later, unable to dig his way out of their farm system, he was released. Sanchez continued to sizzle Wednesday with two extra-base hits, including a three-run homer in the third inning, during a“I’ve had my highs and lows,” Sanchez, who scored twice, said via translator Danny Sanchez. “I’ve maintained my head high and never gave up or quit. I really just attribute that to the hard work I’ve put in, you know, in trying to get back to who I know I am.”
