The College Football Playoff hasn’t been fair, isn’t fair now, but will be very close by 2024 ... only complaint is it should have happened sooner
In war, a Dozen is Dirty. In the cutthroat world of college football, 12 somehow feels clean. Four is filthy.
Now that Greek chariot races no longer are in vogue, it will be the biggest college extravaganza since Rutgers and Princeton first kicked around the pig bladder in 1869. The NCAA Basketball Tournament is a monster, and I love it, but if you’re asking me which is going to attract more eyes — and gamblers — well, you shouldn’t.
Which makes me wonder: What took them so long, first to create a playoff system, and, second, not to enlarge it, which only can add more yeast to the dough?
