Warm and breezy for a couple of days, then some rain and windy conditions for Halloween. Chilly temps to start November.
After a frosty Monday morning, we are cranking up the heat for the next few days. Today and tomorrow we will have a brisk wind out of the southwest 10-20 mph with some gusts up to around 30 mph. This will help to push our temperatures up to around 79 today and 80 tomorrow. The record high for today and tomorrow is 80 degrees. We will start today cool with cloudy skies then partly cloudy this afternoon.Thursday the winds pick up even more, 15-25+ mph.
This is not ideal timing because most of the communities in central Ohio will be having their trick or treat from 6-8 p.m. We will tailor the timing of the rain in more detail as we get closer to Thursday. It will be a rather warm day on Thursday, with high temps around 77. Friday will be chilly to start November. We will have a mix of sun and clouds on Friday, with morning temps in the 40s then a high around 58. Partly cloudy Saturday with a high of 63, after a morning low around 38. So it will be chilly for the Ohio State Buckeyes football game that day.
Daylight Saving ends for 2024 on Sunday morning at 2 a.m., so we will get an additional hour of sleep -- but you will need to move your clocks back an hour. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a high around 70. Another disturbance will swing through late Sunday and bring another chance of rain for Sunday night into Monday. High temps around 73 on Monday with the chance for scattered showers.
