As the clouds cleared out, Monday became a beautiful afternoon! Mild temperatures will persist by Monday night. There’s a slight chance of isolated showers giving your lawn a watering Tuesday, but not everyplace can count on that. Most of this week looks dry and beautiful!
AIR QUALITY ALERT for the Columbus area on Tuesday. Smoke from the wildfires in Quebec is drifting our way and is partly responsible for our recent milky skies. Particle pollution is expected to be an issue for sensitive groups. MORPC recommends we avoid open burning, combine vehicle trips, avoid vehicle idling, carpool if possible, avoid using lawn equipment, and refuel vehicles after sunset.
A cold front drops into the state Tuesday morning and brings thicker clouds. We will have a few isolated showers, and maybe even a thunderstorm, developing during the day as the front makes its way toward the Ohio River. Some late-evening showers are likely for Southwestern and South Central Ohio as the front tracks southward. A leftover sprinkle or two will be possible early Wednesday morning, mainly in Southern Ohio.
