Central Ohio remains in a MARGINAL RISK for severe storms this evening. A WIND ADVISORY is in place through the night. Expect gusts of 45+mph. A FLOOD ADVISORY has been issued for Pike, Ross, and Fayette counties as heavy rainfall is expected this evening.
WEDNESDAY: Increasing clouds, chance of showers, high 70.Our highest concern is for the strong winds and heavy rainfall. We still cannot rule out hail and an isolated tornado. Storms will pick up this evening and continue into Sunday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has continued the MARGINAL RISK for severe storms into tomorrow for Eastern Ohio.This system will move out tomorrow afternoon and could leave behind a few flurries into the evening. Clouds clear out in the late morning Monday and will lead to sunny skies once again. It will be a bit cooler, however seasonable for St. Patrick’s Day. Dry conditions last into Wednesday afternoon. The next disturbance arrives Wednesday evening and will bring some showers back into the area. We will see cooler temperatures on Thursday, the first day of Spring. Now, I cannot believe I am about to say this, but here it goes...We have a chance of seeing a rain and snow mix. Yes, SNOW! No accumulation is expected but we could see some snowflakes to bring in the new season.
