WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy, few rain showers, high 79. Good Thursday morning! You may need the rain gear today, but not this weekend! We have a cold front draped west to east across Northern Ohio and it is moving south. This will help to trigger a few rain showers today. An area of low pressure is moving in from the Southern Plains across the Southern Ohio Valley today. These two things will try squeezing out the moisture from the atmosphere for a few rain showers today. The northern third of Ohio will have about a 40% chance of rain today. The central third of Ohio, along the I-70 corridor, will have a 30% chance of rain today. The southern third of Ohio will have a 60% chance of rain today, including a few rumbles of thunder. We are starting off with temps in the mid-50s and we will warm into the upper 60s today with mostly cloudy skies and a light breeze out of the northeast. The cold front will push farther south tonight, and the clouds will be on their way out. Friday will start chilly, temps in the lower 40s in Columbus and outlying areas may dip into the upper 30s. We will be mostly sunny on Friday and warm to a high around 66, with the light breeze out of the northeast. Mostly sunny on Saturday and Sunday as we start warming up. Saturday will have similar temps to Friday morning, but maybe a couple degrees cooler. We will warm to a high around 73 on Saturday. Sunday starts with temps around 50 then warming to a high around 79. So a beautiful Mother’s Day with mostly sunny skies. More clouds, along with rain next week. Monday will warm to a high around 81 with increasing clouds. There is a very slight chance of rain arriving Monday evening, but most of the rain will hold off until Tuesday. Scattered showers and storms on Tuesday, with a high around 78. A few lingering rain showers possible Wednesday, with a high around 79. Temps look to stay very warm through the end of next week.
