We warmed up to 88 yesterday and we will likely get a little hotter today and tomorrow.TUESDAY: Sunshine & afternoon clouds, stray rain possible, high 90.FRIDAY: Partly cloudy, slight chance for rain, high 79.SUNDAY: Partly cloudy, chance for sctd. rain/storms, high 82.
We are going to go with a high of 90 for Monday and Tuesday. The record high today is 91 set in 1962. The record high tomorrow is 92 set in 1941. We will be mostly sunny today and there is a very remote chance, 10%, for a stray shower or storm popping up from the heat of the day alone, but most of Central Ohio will likely stay dry today. A little more humidity tomorrow will give us a 20% chance of a stray storm popping up tomorrow.
By Wednesday we will have partly cloudy skies with more humidity and a better chance for scattered storms. Right now it looks like the rain will be scattered and not widespread so we are going to go with a 60% chance for rain and some of that rain will linger into Thursday morning. There is a slight risk of severe storms for Wednesday and Wednesday night, so we are going to make it an Alert Day for the potential for a few severe cells. Strong winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado possible.
Lingering rain on Thursday will mainly impact Southern Ohio and we will be cooler with a high of 78. So “cooler” with clouds and some rain, mainly south, on Thursday. Friday will likely stay dry for most of Central Ohio with a high around 79 and partly cloudy skies. More scattered rain & storms possible heading into Memorial Day weekend. High temperatures will be back in the lower 80s, but some hit or miss rain will be possible. We will keep an eye on the timing as we get closer, but it looks like a 40% chance for rain on Saturday then a 60% chance on Sunday and Monday. Have a good one!
