Cloudy and cool today with a rain/snow mix on the way through tonight and early Thanksgiving. Wet roads for Thanksgiving, then mostly cloudy and chilly.
SATURDAY:Mix of sun & clouds, high 30.Traveling today will be decent through the early afternoon, but turning wet and wintry for part of Ohio later. We are cloudy this morning with temperatures dipping into the lower 30s. There are some flurries and sprinkles trying to move from Indiana into Ohio, but not enough to cause too much of an issue for traveling for the first half of the day. We will remain cloudy with a light breeze out of the southeast as we warm up to a high around 46.
Northern Ohio will be a little colder for the rain to start changing over to a rain/snow mix tonight. The rain/snow mix will continue overnight and start leaving by daybreak tomorrow. Light snow accumulations may occur, mainly north on the grass, mulch and possibly the bridges and overpasses. Right now most of our pavement temperatures are in the lower 40s, so areas that see more snow may have the snow try to stick to the pavement, but melting quickly.
Friday we will remain mostly cloudy with a few flurries. Morning low around 28 then a high around 33, with the winds out of the west. Winds will continue out of the west-northwest for the weekend, and that should keep the lake-effect snow along the east-southeast parts of the Great Lakes. Central Ohio will have a mix of sun and clouds this weekend, with morning low temps around 20, then high temps around 30. A few flurries are possible, but not causing too much of an issue.
There are two weak clippers that bear monitoring. The first one swings down across the Central Plains into Kentucky on Saturday night into Sunday. Right now that does not appear to impact Ohio. Another weak wave on a couple models swings down on Monday, but fizzles out as it approaches Ohio. A couple models have another disturbance with a little more moisture for some light snow possible late Tuesday into Wednesday.
