FOP president, Brian Steel released a message announcing Officer Steve Asch lost his battle with A-L-S. Steel said the husband, father, and faithful servant will be missed. Asch's passing comes days after the death of CPD Commander Mike Gray, who retired just weeks ago after more than 30 years of service to the community.
Firefighter, Kim Barton also recently passed. Department leaders indicate that Barton leaves behind a legacy of leadership and love.Family, friends, and co-workers are thanking them for what they gave to the city of Columbus.
