From murder investigations to youth programs and a focus on addressing domestic violence, Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant and others unveiled a long list of initiatives Tuesday, but will they work? Columbus city and community leaders are pushing to make real investments in reducing crime and violence across Columbus.
That's the question ABC 6 keeps getting from many families in city neighborhoods. ABC 6 has been investigating these troubling issues for more than a year now. She teamed with Crime Stoppers, police and community advocates to unveil a new billboard campaign aimed at gathering vital information in deadly cold cases.City leaders also are focused on domestic violence.Mayor Andrew Ginther and Police Chief Elaine Bryant stressed that the rise in such cases is a focal point. The city announced an investment in Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio. The group provides counseling and shelter for victims.
