So, something went right for Laine in the middle, despite a ghastly 3-for-17 performance on faceoffs that wasn’t the least bit surprising given the situation. At the very least, there’s enough interest from his coaches and the management team to allow the experiment to continue. Why not give it a shot during what could become an experimental portion of a long, injury-ravaged season?
