Tuesday a Columbia High School student sent a threatening text, via a school computer to himself, stating to stay home because a school shooting would happen sometime during the week.
COLUMBIA STATION, Ohio - According to the Lorain County Sheriff’s Department, on
Deputies on the scene, along with a detective unit, began an investigation and discovered that the threatening message was sent using a school IP address generated from the school’s internet service. As a precaution, the school was placed into a soft lockdown state, holding students to a single classroom and restricting access to the building.
The student was charged criminally and taken into custody without incident by the on-scene deputies.
