According to a report from the NFL Network, the Indianapolis Colts waived kicker Rodrigo Blankenship Tuesday. The move comes less than 48 hours after Blankenship's missed game-winning field goal against the Texans.

Blankenship went 2-3 on field goal attempts and 2-2 on extra point attempts but missed a game-winning field goal in overtime to defeat the Houston Texans on Sunday.Blankenship played in 22 games in three seasons with the Colts and converted 45-of-54 field goals and 52-of-55 extra points for 187 points. He appeared in one postseason contest and made one field goal and one extra point for four points. Blankenship originally signed with Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2020.

The Colts signed kickers Chase McLaughlin and Lucas Havrisik to the practice squad. The expectation is that one of these kickers will move to the active roster for Sunday's game at Jacksonville. McLaughlin re-joins the Colts after spending time with the team in 2019 and 2020. He has played in 31 career games in his time with the Cleveland Browns , New York Jets , Jacksonville Jaguars , Colts , Minnesota Vikings , San Francisco 49ers , Los Angeles Chargers and Buffalo Bills . McLaughlin has converted 37-of-49 field goals and 67-of-69 extra points for 178 points. He has also registered 38 touchbacks on kickoffs.

Havrisik participated in the Colts’ 2022 Rookie Mini-Camp on a tryout basis but was not signed. Collegiately, he played in 54 career games at Arizona and converted 34-of-53 field goals and 73 extra points for 175 points. Havrisik also handled kickoff duties and compiled 232 touchbacks. He earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention recognition in 2020 and 2021. His last name is pronounced HAVE-ruh-sick.
