Indianapolis Colts cornerback Kenny Moore II received a well-deserved honor for his performance against the Carolina Panthers.
When you return two interceptions for touchdowns in the same game, that performance will be hard to beat., single-handedly outscoring the Panthers from the defensive side of the ball. For his efforts, the NFL announced today that Moore earned the AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for Week 9.Moore was impactful in all areas of the defense on Sunday, finishing with eight tackles, two passes defensed, and two interceptions, returning each for touchdowns.
Moore also made history on a personal front. Before Sunday, he had only scored one touchdown in his NFL career, an interception return in 2020. He doubled his career touchdowns in a single afternoon. Moore has racked up 61 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three interceptions, five passes defensed, 1.5 sacks, and two QB hits in nine games this season.
