Many roads are still closed due to treacherous conditions, and the continued wind may cause issues in clearing drifted snow on more rural roads
The winter storm that shut down most of northeast Colorado Tuesday and blanketed the mountains in snow is lingering across the state Wednesday.
High winds are still widespread across the northeast plains with 40 mph gusts, causing low visibility of one to three miles due to blowing snow. The snowfall on the plains is minimal, with only a few light bands of snow remaining in the area; most of the visibility issues are from ground snow blowing in the wind.
