The overnight arrival of a snowstorm brought initially less snow than expected to the Denver area, but the dusting of ice and snow will still make road conditions tricky during the morning commute.

, expected wind chills Wednesday night into Thursday have gotten much colder, and wind chill advisories have been issued for most of the Denver metro area.

Snowfall will continue across the metro area throughout the day, with new expected totals between two and four inches. The snow could pick up in the afternoon, and there is a 10% chance of Denver’s snow totals reaching the high-end amount of just over six inches. The snow will end Wednesday evening. Temperatures Wednesday morning are starting around the 20s to low 30s, but those will drop sharply in the afternoon to single digits and negative-degree wind chills.
