A forecast from the National Weather Service shows about a 41% chance of Denver getting over six inches of snow

The Interstate 25 Urban Corridor and the northeast plains are most likely to get the brunt of the snow, with snow accumulations between five and 10 inches possible. Higher totals are possible in the farther northeast portions of the plains.

, while Denver International Airport has about a 61% chance of over six inches. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for most of the urban corridor through the northeast corner of the state from 5 p.m. Tuesday to 5 p.m. Wednesday. Travel may become difficult Wednesday during the morning and evening commutes due to the possible heavy snowfall accumulations.

Wednesday’s high temperature is 31 degrees, and the low is a frigid 13 degrees. The rest of the week will see temperatures in the 30s as well and some on-and-off snow chances through Sunday.
