Colorado has officially ended its contract with MedRide, a non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) service, after the company faced accusations of failing to meet state and federal regulations. The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) terminated the contract following a suspension, despite MedRide's legal challenge and reinstatement of services. HCPF stated that MedRide's actions jeopardized the health and safety of Medicaid patients, a claim MedRide denies.
