This decision is made possible by historic disability insurance policies, secured by head coach Deion Sanders, to cover any serious injuries during the game. Coach Sanders revealed that multiple players on the team have disability insurance, but Shedeur and Hunter's coverage is the most extensive in college football history.
Athletic director Rick George confirmed that the idea for this high level of coverage originated with Coach Sanders.
