Travis Hunter and Henry Blackburn met Wednesday and went bowling after Hunter recently suffered a lacerated liver on a hit from Blackburn.
“I’m saddened if there’s any of our fans that are on the side of those threats. I would hope and pray not. But that kid was just playing the best of his ability and he made a mistake,” Sanders said. “I forgive him. CU, our team forgives him. Travis has forgiven him. Let’s move on. But that kid does not deserve that.”
Hunter and Blackburn’s bowling outing will be featured in an upcoming video for Hunter’s YouTube channel, according to a CSU spokesperson. Both players donated money toward their bowling game, and the winner picked a charity to receive the proceeds, per ESPN.Subscribe to The Athletic for in-depth coverage of your favorite players, teams, leagues and clubs.
