The chaos at Sunday night’s Copa America final in Miami extended beyond just unticketed fans bum-rushing Hard Rock Stadium entrances.
The president of the Colombian Football Federation was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning after Argentina captured its second consecutive Copa title, defeating Colombia 1-0.
That’s when things got physical, according to the report, and the younger Jesurun grabbed the 24-year-old security guard by the neck and took him to the ground, kicking Shaw in the head. The elder Jesurun became involved after security manager Jean Garoute got involved and Ramon Jesurun hit him. Video posted by Fox Sports Mexico showed some of the chaotic scene with a man wearing a grey shirt attempting to square off with an unidentified stadium staffer and a child appearing to attempt to hold him back. Ramon Jamil Jesurun appeared to be wearing a grey shirt in his mug shot.
