A judge on Monday affirmed the verdict — one of the largest involving the 2015 Texas Relationship Privacy Act — which was decided by a jury in November, the woman’s attorneys said in a news release. The woman eventually gave up her middle-school teaching career out of fear the images would be discovered.Her attorneys said Allen police did not investigate the postings after the woman found the images in November 2018. In June 2020, the woman turned to Frisco police, which resulted in “only a cursory investigation,” the attorneys said in a statement.
The woman said in a statement the court will continue to find Rotea accountable if the images ever appear again.
