The 21-year-old had been suffering from stomach pains, according to his father, before going to the emergency room.

He told the newspaper that doctors believe that when his son’s heart started to fail it began to give him the stomach pains. Vauls said that doctors told him his son’s heart was functioning at 10-15%, and he said he believes it could be a genetic issue after he was diagnosed with A-fib seven years ago.
